Can you believe it's 2011 already!! It's crazy how time goes by so fast!
Shawn and I had a wonderful Christmas spending time with our family and friends. On New Year's Eve, we go with our family and best friends to the Hale Center Theatre to watch a play. This has been a tradition of ours for about 7 years and we love it! This year the play was called "Born Yesterday" It was the most funniest and best play we have ever been to. We were all laughing hysterically and had so much fun! Shawn and I are blessed with the best family and friends in the world!!
Some of our plans for 2011 include, spending 2 weeks in Arizona with my mom and her husband in February, camping and riding our 4-wheeler and dirt bikes when the weather warms up, celebrating our 17 year anniversary and also we are praying that this will be the year we are chosen by a birth mother to adopt a baby. How exciting!!! This is going to be the best year ever. Happy 2011 everyone! :)

My cousin Sasha decided to go skydiving for her birthday. Shawn has always wanted to try skydiving and I'm petrified of heights so there was no way I was going to do it with him. The plan was, Shawn was going to skydive with my cousins and our friend Justin, and I'd be safely waiting for him on the ground. We got to the airport and Shawn, Justin and my cousins talked me into doing it. I was so scared that I was shaking really bad and couldn't fill out my application so Sasha filled it out for me lol. Once we got into the plane, I was getting excited but still nervous. Shawn however, was petrified! It was so funny :) Our plane got to 13,500 feet and it was time to jump out. I jumped out of the plane first with my tandem Cliff and then Shawn jumped out after me. We were free falling for 50 seconds. It was the most incredible, crazy feeling ever!!! It's so awesome to think that I went skydiving, something that I said I would never do because of my fear of heights. But I did it wooohooo!!! Shawn and I had so much fun that we're going again in the Spring. We can't wait! :)

Shawn & I went on a 19 day vacation to New England with a couple of our friends, Steve & Valerie. We went to Niagara Falls on our first day. I think that is one of the most beautiful places in the world! We really loved it there. We took a jetboat on the Niagara River and went through the rapids. Talk about getting soaked hahaha! That was so much fun :)

We took a float plane ride over Moose Head Lake. It was absolutely amazing. So beautiful!

We also went whale watching. Wow, that was incredible! The whales got so close to the boat, it was awesome! Then we took a Schooner ride for 5 days along the coast of Maine. The islands out there are so pretty. We had such a blast! Some other stops along our way included, Palmyra New York, New York City, Plymouth Rock, Boston and Mystic Seaport. It was the trip of a lifetime!! :)

Our Best Friends!

Our best friends Matt & Sylvia finally got to move back home to Utah. Matt's job transferred him to Alabama in August 2009 and he was able to transfer back in June. We are so excited to have them home! They have an 8 month old little girl named "London". She's so sweet & beautiful. We're so excited to be able to watch her grow up and share her life experiences with her. They all stayed with us for a little bit until they found a home. It was so much fun seeing London every day and being able to help Sylvia feed her, bathe her and even change her diapers lol :) We love you Matt, Sylvia & London! Welcome home, we've missed you!

Eclipse

My best friend Sylvia and I went to see Eclipse over the weekend. This is us waiting in line at the Theatre. We got there an hour early so we could get a good seat. I thought the movie was really good. I liked this one the best out of all the Twilight series. Sylvia and I had so much fun! We ate popcorn, Sour Patch Kids and of course Reese's Pieces! Might I just add that Jacob is HOT! He could go shirtless the entire movie and I would be ok with that lol :)

One of our very good friends just graduated from the University of Utah in film. He was directing a movie for the 48 Hour Film Festival and asked me to play a part in it. I got to be a bad girl who pulled a gun out on a clown, flipped him off and told him to "blow it out your ear Bozo" LOL :) It was so much fun! I also got to drive a really sweet looking Lexus HA! :)

Hello everyone!

We're starting this blog to share with you our adventure of adopting a baby. We have been together for 20 years and have been married for 16. We love to do everything together. We enjoy riding our 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, going camping, cooking big dinners & playing board games with our friends and family.

We got approved for adoption through LDS Family Services in January of 2009 & are very excited to start our family. If you know of anyone that is looking to place their baby for adoption, please send them our way! Thanks for reading :)
